there’s something comforting about a bed on the floor, it represents somebody who doesn’t quite have their shit together, i like that.

no furniture = no commitments.

My boyfriend always talks about he often misses this. When we moved (July first) our couch wouldn’t fit into the new place, so we’ve been sitting on camping chairs since then. However, he’s got some money coming in next week and he’s already said a couch is the first thing he’s buying. One of my favourite things to do is fall asleep on the couch in the middle of the afternoon. Windows open, sun shining. As much as having no commitment is great, after a while you miss the small comforts of having a comfortable place  to relax, and just be. In the future, I think I’d forego a bed and opt for a sofa/sofa bed instead. With Kijiji it’s not really hard to get rid of a couch anyway. Hell, put the word “FREE” on anything and put it at the curb- problem solved. Commitment is a word used by people who are afraid of letting things go.
